Who we are

Our parish is a relatively young ecclesiastical foundation in the city of Chișinău, around which a social and educational centre is being built — one our community needs today more than ever. It is a space dedicated to the spiritual, social and moral growth of the parish's children and of those from disadvantaged families.

Why this project matters

According to the most recent official statistics, approximately 35% of the children of the Republic of Moldova live in very difficult socio-economic conditions, and Chișinău accounts for a significant share of this reality. Faced with these figures, the Church cannot remain a passive observer — her vocation is to stand beside children and young people as a steady point of support, full of hope and confidence.

Investing in the formation of a child today means a healthier, more enlightened society tomorrow, more firmly anchored in Christian values.

Our areas of work

1. Practical support for a balanced life. Programmes that build healthy habits — order, discipline, social conduct and responsibility. Learning materials are made available to all the children.

2. Spiritual and psychological development. An integrated programme of spiritual and emotional accompaniment, offered by spiritual fathers, teachers and psychologists. Through conversation and thematic meetings, children and young people are helped to discover their calling, strengthen their self-confidence and grow in harmony.

3. Educational, cultural and formative activities — the heart of our project. A rich and varied programme, designed for every age:

• Catechesis and Bible study — the Orthodox faith, Holy Scripture, the life of prayer.
• Church music and choir — training young chanters and forming a liturgical sensibility.
• Creative and artistic workshops — painting, iconography, handicraft, writing and creative expression.
• Educational support alongside school — tutoring, critical thinking, reading.
• Cultural activities — excursions, pilgrimages, concerts, celebrations and community events.
• Youth programmes — discussion clubs, volunteering, social projects and leadership formation.

Why your contribution matters

This work is not the project of one person or one family — it is a shared undertaking of all who understand that the future of a society is built through care for the younger generation. Every contribution, however modest, becomes a brick in a living edifice from which, for years to come, will resound the voices of children learning, praying and growing towards fulfilment.

Our donors can be our partners in mission, founders of a foundation that will bear spiritual and social fruit for whole generations. The names of those who contribute to this work will be commemorated at the parish's divine services and, if desired, inscribed permanently on the walls of the church, and the blessing of this work will return a hundredfold upon its benefactors.
